What is a pre-purchase inspection?
It's an independent, top-to-bottom check of a used car before you buy — mechanical, structural/chassis, electronics and a road test — so you know exactly what you're getting into before you hand over any money.
How much does an inspection cost?
Inspections start at $99 (Essential, currently on a fall discount) and go up to $249 (Total Confidence), depending on how deep you want us to go. All prices exclude taxes — see the pricing section above for what's included in each tier.
Do I need to be there for the inspection?
No. We handle the whole thing ourselves and send you a full digital report, so you don't have to take time off or meet the seller in person.
Do you arrange everything with the seller?
Yes. Once you book, we contact the seller and set up a time that works for them. You don't need to coordinate anything or play middleman.
How soon will I get my report?
You'll receive a clear digital report — usually the same day — with our findings, photos and any issues we spot, in plain language you can actually use.
Can you inspect a car at a dealership?
Absolutely — dealers are used to independent inspections. Just give us your salesperson's contact details and we'll coordinate access directly.
What areas do you cover?
We're fully mobile across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. If the car is a bit further out, just ask — we can often still come to you, sometimes with a small travel fee.
Can I ask you to check something specific?
Yes. Tell us your concerns when you book — a noise, a warning light, a possible past accident — and we'll pay extra attention to it during the inspection.
Can you tell me if the asking price is fair?
Our Total Confidence tier includes a market-value assessment based on the car's condition, mileage and comparable listings — and we can help you negotiate using what we find.
Can I add a warranty?
Yes — an optional warranty add-on is available with any inspection for an extra fee. Ask us for current coverage options and pricing when you book.
Can I get an inspection the same day?
Often, yes — especially for bookings earlier in the day — though it depends on the seller's availability. We'll always aim for the soonest slot we can get.
What's your cancellation policy?
Plans change — you can cancel up to an hour before your scheduled inspection for a full refund.
